Who’s That Then?
My name is Josh Gasan. I’m somewhere in and around 28 to 30, depending on when I last updated this page, and I am a script writer and editor.
You’ve probably realised by now, I have something of a sarcastic disposition. There’s probably some therapeutic reason for that, but rather than fix it I thought I’d monetise!
As a writer, I often skew towards the heightened worlds of science fiction and fantasy, but told through the lens of someone you’d probably find in the middle of Lidl. For example, the one-person show I’m currently developing follows an intimacy-phobic gay man that is forced to relive his past when he’s visited by the ‘ghost’ of his eighteen-year-old self.
As an editor, my priorities are two-fold: structure, and character. Genre, script length, and trends are all important, but they’re nothing if built on the foundations of inconsistent characters in a story that goes nowhere. I’m also, conversely, very open to dialogue with a writer that is writing something that does focus on character or format. Every writer and every script is different, and that’s what I want to help cultivate.
Take a look at my blog, my socials, or just close your eyes and imagine to see examples of my writing, my script reports, and my frankly impeccable opinions.
Or don't, but I’d prefer it if you did.
